Pure Energy Part-1

Pure Energy Part 1 is a 10 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant situated in Raniyapur, Khajura Rural Municipality, Banke district in western Nepal. As the first phase of a two-part project totaling 20 MW, it was officially commissioned on 10 December 2023, following successful trial operations. The project was developed by Renergo Developers Pvt. Ltd., with Nexus Engineering Consulting and Construction Pvt. Ltd. serving as the EPC contractor. The plant utilizes high-efficiency Canadian Solar modules spread across approximately 22 Bighas of land. It stands as one of the largest privately operated solar projects in Nepal, contributing clean energy to the national grid and marking a major milestone in the country's renewable energy transition.
From December 2022 to September 2023, I was engaged in the project as a Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) under Nexus Engineering Consulting and Construction Pvt. Ltd. My responsibilities included preparing the site for installation, such as clearing vegetation, grading, and setting foundations. I oversaw the installation of the pile foundations for the solar panels, ensuring alignment and adherence to design specifications. I was actively involved in the estimation and execution of civil quantities for various structures like the boundary wall, main control room, access road, culverts, lightning arresters, field LT panels, transformer foundations, and the main gate.
My duties also included conducting inspections and quality checks to ensure construction met all required standards. I implemented and monitored site safety protocols and collaborated with a multidisciplinary team including electrical and civil engineers, as well as project managers, to maintain timelines, budget, and quality benchmarks. Additionally, I maintained thorough documentation of all civil works and ensured necessary permits and certifications were secured throughout the project lifecycle.
