Ama Yangri Trek

The Ama Yangri Trek, located in the Helambu region of Sindhupalchowk, is a short and scenic high-altitude hike ideal for a 2–3 day getaway. Starting from Tarkeghyang, the trail winds through dense forests and Sherpa villages to the Ama Yangri peak at 3,771 m. From the top, trekkers are rewarded with panoramic views of mountains like Langtang, Dorje Lhakpa, and even distant glimpses of Everest on clear days. As a sacred site for local Buddhists, the trek offers both natural beauty and spiritual calm, making it a perfect short adventure near Kathmandu.
